At DIS, our Core Courses provide opportunities to explore beyond Stockholm and find new, global perspectives on your academics. These academic adventures are called Study Tours.

Study Tours allow you and your classmates to explore academic topics in real-world settings and offer the chance to deepen your knowledge through on-site learning with local organizations and experts.

Your housing is a central part of the study abroad experience. It’s a place to make new connections and develop life skills, as well as rest, reflect, and recharge each day. DIS offers four housing options, each created to help you feel grounded and supported.

As soon as you arrive, DIS hosts welcome events and info sessions to help you get settled, meet new friends, and get to know your new city.

Want to meet locals, join a club, try a new sport, or volunteer with a local organization? Stockholm offer plenty of options to make your semester abroad one to remember.

From IKEA and fika to ABBA and Avicii, many pieces of Swedish culture are iconic—but what does it actually feel like to live in Stockholm? With vast urban green spaces, stunning architecture, clean and efficient public transit, and more, Stockholm is an excellent place to live and study. Hear directly from our students their favorite parts of the city,

The application process depends on your university, and in some cases, the program and term to which you are applying.

October 15 is the deadline to apply for the spring semester! But don't delay—courses fill up often before the deadline.
